USA/NH: Franconia Notch State Park
Franconia Notch State Park protects pristine forests and granite mountain outcrops and hills around a White Mountains pass area in New Hampshire. The entire Franconia Notch is actually an ancient valley carved out by a glacier. Here, in the area called the Basin, there are spectacular hiking trails with waterfalls, pools, granite rock outcrops and hiking trails.
