USA/NV: Ely – Historic Hotel Nevada
You can stay in the historic Hotel Nevada & Gambling Hall in the heart of Ely and experience history and relive the days of the Wild Wild West. The hotel was founded during the heydays of the prohibition in 1929 and with its six stories was the tallest building in the entire state of Nevada back then. Today, the hotel is well restored and rooms are nicely decorated with antiques (although water doesn’t run very well because of old plumbing system). The first floor is the casino (only slot machines) and tons of stuffed animals and guns – classic middle-of-nowhere Nevada the way you imagine it).
