USA/NY: NYC – Hurricane Sandy Aftermath
Hurricane Sandy was the worst hurricane to ever hit New York City. As a category 2 storm, it brought severe flooding to Manhattan, with most of the lower part of the island being under 1-2 feet of water. Trees were uprooted and several old buildings collapsed, while the subway was completely flooded. For a whole week afterwards, the lower Manhattan below 34th street was without electrical power.
