USA/TX: Palo Duro Canyon State Park
Continuing with western Texas, we come to the number one natural attraction here – Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Apparently, this is the second largest canyon (by size) in USA after the Grand Canyon, but unfortunately, it’s nowhere near as spectacular. It’s about 120 miles long, but only about 1000 feet deep at the maximum (Brand Canyon is nearly 7000 feet deep). The loop road takes you down from the rim panoramic overlooks and into the canyon, where you wind around some red rocks. It’s all pretty and picturesque but after seeing the true jewels of the American Southwest in Utah and Arizona, it’s all a little underwhelming
