USA/UT: Arches NP – Balanced Rock & Park Avenue
Arches National Park is not just famous for its natural arches but for several other features that are spectacular, like the Balances Rock or the Park Avenue. Pork Avenue Trail goes along a canyon bottom underneath massive red sandstone towers leading to stand alone monoliths of the Courthouse Towers. A little first up the road is the Balances Rock, one of the most popular features in the park. The Balance Rock is precariously stuck on a platform 128 feet in the air. The enormous sandstone boulder atop Balanced Rock is presumed to weigh approximately 3,577 tons!
