USA/UT: Skiing at Alta in Perfect Powder
A spring snow storm got stuck lingering over the Wasatch Mountains, dumping a total of 42 inches/ 107 cm of fresh snow over the three day we skied. It was fresh powder to the power of max! The second day bought a few breaks in the clouds, but the first and third days were snow coming down hard with low visibility but great skiing! Alta Ski Resort is my personal favorite in the USA and one of the best in the world – the conditionals of abundant dry snow are perfect, plus Alta doesn’t allow any snowboarders – it’s skiers only! Alta is one of the oldest ski resorts in the United States, with a history dating back to the 1930s. It’s known for its excellent powder snow, challenging terrain, and stunning alpine scenery.
