USA/VT: Montpelier
Montpelier is the capital of the state of Vermont and is also the least populated state capital in the USA with just about 7 thousand people. It’s an absolutely beautiful Vermont-style town with old building along old streets with old houses and churches, flowers, coffee shops, tiny restaurants and very friendly people. The most famous landmark here is the Vermont State House aka Capitol, which was built in 1859, and is actually a third building to be erected on this site. The structure is grand with golden dome and columned front and it stand high above the town on a hill commanding perfect views. Montpelier is a truly awesome town, full of ice-cream shops and breakfast places serving fresh Vermont vegetables and dairy.
