USA/WV: Seneca Caverns
Seneca Caverns in West Virginia was supposed to be one of the most spectacular attraction in the state… It turned out to be the biggest disappointment of the entire trip across America so far, a total waste of time and money, and an ultimate example of how privately owned hike in the ground makes money from millions of losers who don’t know any better. While discovered back in 1770, it’s a rather small cave with one medium size hall and a couple dilapidated and broken off formation tut weren’t that great even when they had been fully intact. The guide had to strain real hard to entertain people for an hour, pointing out how that dry knob looks like a ship, and that hanging piece of limestone looks like a chandelier, or that shadow looks like a castle. Total junk! If you ever drive through West Virginia, skip this!
