USA/Alaska: Wrangell St Ellias National Park

Wrangell–St. Elias National Park and Preserve is one of the largest parks in America and is a UNESCO World Heritage Park – it is six times larger then the Yellowstone National Park. From the McCarthy Road, there is a spectacular hike to the snout and along the massive Root Glacier. There is also a spot to get onto the glacier (if you have crampons), where you can explore the various glacial features, such as blue pools, waterfalls, and crevasses.
