USA/AZ: Kitts Peak National Observatory
Kitt Peak National Observatory, located in the remote mountains of the southern Arizona, has the world’s largest and most diverse collection of astronomical instruments in the world that includes 24 optical and 2 radio telescopes. Come here in the evening and you can have a chance at looking at distant stars and planets. Interestingly, I happened to be here when a trifecta of planets – Venus, Mars, and Jupiter – were visible clearly with a naked eye right after sunset as a triangle in the west.
