USA/AZ: Meteor Crater
Barringer Meteor Crater in Arizona is one of the best preserve meteor impact craters in the world due to the dry desert climate here. The crater is 1,200 m (3,900 ft) in diameter and 170 m (560 ft) deep. It’s almost perfectly round and the rim is unbroken all around. The crater was created about 50,000 years by a 50 meters (160 feet) meteorite that was almost completely vaporized at impact.
