USA/CA: Mojave NP – Cima Road Joshua Tree Forest

Cima Road cuts the the heart of the Mojave National Preserve and has some of the densest stands of the Joshua trees in America. The bizarre trees line up the two-lane highway with their weird branches and even more outlandish flowers. Joshua tree is actually a yucca (Yucca brevifolia), one of the few yuccas that grow to a massive tree size.
