USA/CA: Wildflowers at Anza-Borrego Desert SP

Once a year (and not every year) the Anza-Borrego Desert explodes in bloom with literally carpets of spectacular wildflowers covering the desert ground. The species include: Desert Fivespot, Brittlebrush, Purplemat, Desert Senna, Dandelions, Golden Poppy, Desert Sand Verbena, Desert Sunflowers, Desert Evening Primrose, Wild Canterbury Bells, Bigelow’s Monkey Flower, Parish’s poppy, Notchleaf Phacelia, Desert Lily, Arizona Lupine, Desert Star, Brown-eyed Primrose, Desert Chicory, Dyeweed, Fremont’s Desert Thorn, and many others.
