USA/NM: NRAO Very Large Array Observatory
NRAO Very Large Array Observatory is located in the middle of nowhere in New Mexico, far from any towns or village. It consists of 27 twenty-five-meter radio telescopes deployed in a Y-shaped array. NRAO is used to observe black holes and distant planets. And you can visit it and walk among the giant radars. There are also several pictures here from my last visit to the place in 2012.
