USA/OK: Tallgrass Prairie Preserve – Bisons
Tallgrass Prairie is the last remaining 3-4% of the area of prairie lands that once covered vast amount in the American Great Plains. Once upon a time, millions of bison roamed these prairies and today the preserve is the largest concentration of bison herds in the USA – there are more then 2500 individuals grazing in the open lands. You can observe them from a safe distance, and occasionally they approach you quite close.
