USA/Pennsylvania: Tannersville Cranberry Bog Preserve

Tannersville Cranberry Bog Preserve protects a sphagnum bog in central PA. It is the southernmost boreal bog in the North America, and as such it is a National Natural Landmark. As you walk along the wooden walkways, you can see various carnivorous plants and other wildflowers. Underneath the mossy ground lies several meters of peat.
