USA/AZ: Natural Bridges National Monument
Natural Bridges National Monument has three attractions – three spectacular sandstone arches that were created by water running underneath them (arches are formed by erosion, while natural bridges are results of water/river erosion). The natural bridges are Owachomo Bridge, Kachina Bridge, and Sipapu Bridge, and trails lead up close and personal to all three of them, all requiring steep and long descent and then equally grueling return uphill. The bridges are truly enormous, especially when you stand underneath them like a tiny little ant.
