Uzbekistan: Flora & Fauna of the Kyzylkum Desert

Not much can survive in the Kyzylkum Desert (9th largest desert in the world) with its hot summers and freezing winters – but there are still animals – birds, insects (like omnipresent stink-bug), small gophers. The flora also has to adapt – no green leaves, a lot of needles and spikes.
