Venezuela: Caracas – Plaza Bolivar el Hatillo
Plaza Bolivar el Hatillo is in the upscale Barrio Calvario, and the square is lined up with great restaurants and bars, all historic colonial architecture buildings. Standing on a stone pedestal at the center of the plaza is a bronze statue of Simón Bolívar, the Liberator of South America. Facing the main square is the Iglesia Santa Rosalia de Palermo, framed in its traditional white facade with dark blue trim, it dates back to 1784. Lots of upscale bars here and it’s a great place to try the super authentic local spirit Agave Cocuy!
