Venezuela: Caracas – Political Graffiti
Anywhere you look in Caracas – there’s political graffiti: countless faces of Simon Bolivar and Hugo Chavez staring at you from every wall and building (much less of Madura now). Plenty of tribute to rabid anti-imperialism, mad socialism, and traditional allies of Russia, Iran, Cuba, Palestine, and China (surprisingly not a single mention of a Lukashenko despite all the energy he has invested into this friendship). References to Iran and Palestine are everywhere and Chavez marching hand in hand with Soleimani, while Jesus walks along Imam Mahdi. Russian propaganda also left its imprint everywhere – from Elizabeth to Putin to somehow celebrating the victory of Soviet Union’s fight in WWII, which Venezuela has nothing to do with whatever.
