Roraima is not a birding destination, neither am I a birder. But when the guide points out the species that are totally endemic and only exi…st on this mountain or the Guyana highlands, you snap a picture. Very rare species like Roraima parakeets, Tepui brush finches, Tepui antpittas, Greater flowerpiercers, and several others would make any birdwatcher lose his marbles.
