Venezuela: Mt Roraima – Hiking in the Rain
It rains a lot on top of Mount Roraima – the 9000+ ft mountain captures pretty much all the clouds rising from the jungle and the water all comes down over the top, often in torrential downpours. On an all day hike, you are guaranteed for a total soaking, and your clothes and shoes will remain wet for days as cold air and humidity not going to let anything dry up. The only good thing – there are plenty of weird rock caves and overhand formations to find shelter when the rain really starts coming down.
