Vietnam: Hanoi – Saint Joseph Cathedral
Saint Joseph Cathedral in the heart of the city’s Old Quarter is a magnificent neo-gothic structure, built in 1882-86 during the French colonial rule, meant to resemble the Notre Dame de Paris in France. The architecture has all the European elements of a Catholic church – tall spires, arches, stained glass window, tall columns, etc. Hanoi has a large Christian Catholic community.
