Vietnam: Hanoi – Tran Quoc Pagoda
Trấn Quốc Pagoda is the oldest temple on the city, dating back to the 6th century (making it 1500 years old). The pagoda is super picturesque, with location on an island on the West Lake in the heart of the city. The pagoda is very elegant and beautiful and is often considered to be the symbol of Hanoi. The pagoda carries huge religious significance as it holds some of the ancient monks’ ashes. The entire park around the pagoda is also full of Buddhist symbolism and architecture with various towers and lotus flowers and wheels. The grounds are full of worshipers day and night.
