Wallis Futuna: St Joseph Church

Another spectacular (and the oldest) church in Wallis is the St Joseph Church, dating back to the end of 1800s. Black volcanic rock and white coral limestone, this church is intricately decorated with local motives inside – the walls and the ceiling all bear amazing Polynesian paintings and patterns.
