Yemen: Coastline of Al Mahrah
Al Mahrah is the easternmost governorate in Yemen and the coastline here is intersperses with cliffs and mountain plateaus drilling into the see. The unloved road twists and turns over the headlands with spectacular overlooks. A couple of local guys insisted on posing for a picture underneath a bullet-shredded “photo viewpoint” sign. It’s stunning scenery all around and it’s tentatively on the approved list for UNESCO World Heritage designation.
