Zambia: Leopards at South Luangwa National Park
South Luangwa National Park has relatively high concentration of leopards. Unlike the lions, leopards are mostly solitary. They are know for their ability to drag massive kills up the tree and then eat them up over many days. One of the leopards in this pictures even took a medium sized giraffe into the tree! While usually a given territory has more leopards then lions on it, leopards are much more rarely seen – they camouflage extremely well and hide during the day rather than lie around.
