Zimbabwe: Hwange NP – Game Drives
You can opt to do full day game drives and explore a large territory of this largest of Zimbabwean national parks in search of animal sightings and big game. Lions, buffalo, elephants are always showstoppers but there are also tiny animals and insects that deserve a closer look. Like super colorful green frogs that came out after the rain, or a terrapin turtle that got flushed out of a road puddle by a safari vehicle. Another insane encounter was a massive snouted cobra – one of the largest and most poisonous snakes in Africa. A small steenbok antelope was another rare find. And to top it all off – massive beetles!
