Zimbabwe: Lake Kariba – African Rock Python
African Rock Python is the largest snake in Africa and in top five snakes in the world. Game driving after a short range in the Matusadona National Park on the shores of Lake Kariba. The python is usually dormant during the dry months but comes out after the first rains, so we got really lucky! The snake was huge, crossing the road, easily a couple meters long. a typical African rock python adult measures 3-3.5m (9-11 ft) long, and kills the prey the size of a small antelope by constructing them. It’s not dangerous for humans, although feared for no reason.
