Bolivia: Galaxia Cave
Gruta de la Galaxia aka Galaxia Cave is a unique cave in the southern part of Salar Uyuni. It has fossilized algae as well as crystalized cacti stocks. There is also a necropolis of sculls and ancient burials in one of the halls. This is a sub-aquatic cave and it formed prior to the time when the area was uplifted from the ocean floor.
