China: Shanghai Food Recap

Shanghai has one of the most diverse cuisines in China as would be expected from a global trade capital. I tried to stick with dishes that are considered classically Shanghainese. Soup dumplings (especially the ones roasted on the bottom) and various other dumplings stood out above all the rest and were fantastic. Some other stuff, like weird snails, duck tongues, jellyfish or whole fish baked with scales – was more moss then a hit, but still worth a try.
