Denmark: Grenen

Grenen is in the very north of Denmark, sticking out with a long sand bar that divides the North Sea and Baltic Sea. This is literally the end of the world for Denmark as the national road 40 dead ends into the beachhead. The salinity and currents are different in both bodies of water and they collapse here quite violently at the end of the sand spit. It’s a desolate and windy landscape of sand dunes and cold northern seas. There are also some bunkers from the World War II.
