Kenya: Masai Mara – Cheetahs Five Brothers

A complete cheetah overload at Masai Mara – we spent an entire afternoon watching the group of five cheetah brothers in hope they would get up and go hunting. We patiently waiting from noon all the way to sunset – the cheetah just laid in the shadow of a lonely tree, occasionally changing positions to move away from the sun and back into the shadow. As it became cooler and the sun got lower, they finally woke up, groomed each other, took turns to come to the tree and mark it, and then went back to grooming. As the sun set, we had to leave the park before the gates would close – and the cheetahs finally got up and probably went hunting.
