Venezuela: Mt Roraima – Hiking in the Fog
When thick fog envelops the already otherworldly landscape on top of mount Roraima, it gets transformed into an absolute mysterious adventure straight from the screen of Alien Resurrection (sans the aliens). The bizarre rock formations appear from the fog like some stone creatures of different shapes and sizes. Needless to say that losing your way here is a matter of minutes and you can accidentally wander into the Maze – the impenetrable part of the Roraima’s top or drop through a crevasse.
