Rostov is chock-full of interesting, albeit not grand, attractions. A cathedral, several historic university building, half a dozen theaters, wide avenues lined with old buildings, administrative building of the North-Caucasus Railroad, a massive stella monument, and a lot of monuments – from Elizabeth II to various Russian medieval warrior characters.
