Canada/YT: Black Bear on Alaska Highway
This is what happens in Yukon – you are driving along the highway on the way to exploring the Yukon’s capital of Whitehorse when – boom – you spot a massive black bear just feet off the road roaming around and eating wild berries. And you stop and spend the next 30-40 minutes just watching him (or her). Big for a black bear, this one seemed well-fed and happy, eating what looked like wild strawberries (I didn’t go to check) and really not caring about me watching him (or her).
