Tanzania: Mikumi NP – Vuma Hills Safari Lodge
Vuma Hills Safari Lodge is located inside the Mikumi National Park on the southern side of it, on elevated ground at the foothills of the Vuma Mountains and above the Mkata Plain where all the savannah wildlife roams. Technically, you are sleeping in a tented camp, but it’s a real glampimg in true safari lux with spectacular views, sounds of nature, and nocturnal animals coming to visit. While dining on a panoramic deck, we heard honey badgers and porcupines roam in the forest below (although we didn’t see any). What we did see where several greater galago (or bushbabies) that literally joined as, grabbed food and are right in front of us and from our hands without any fear or reservations.
