Iceland: Landmannalaugar – Brenninsteinsalda
The views from the top Brenninsteinsalda mountain in Landmannalaugar are simply otherworldly and you can’t stop taking picture – the landscape of yellow-hinged peaks and snow are endless. It’s a steep 8.5km look trail hike to ascend here from Landmannalauga, but it’s worth every step of the effort, especially on a clear day. Brenninsteinsalda is 855m above sea level and means “Sulphur Wave” when translated from Icelandic.
