Canada/PEI: Covehead Harbor Lighthouse
One of the Prince Edward Island’s most beautiful lighthouses, Covehead Harbor Lighthouse, is picturesquely located about midway in the Prince Edward Island National Park. The lighthouse is standing just above the beach and sand dunes and the red and white square wooden tower rises to 8.2 m (26.9 ft) height. Thus, it is one of the smallest lighthouses on the island, but is absolutely scenically beautiful and one of the most photographed – a classic Canadian treat! Also right across the road is Richard’s, a small lobster shack that has been voted number one restaurant on PEI. The lobster rolls and fish’n’chips.
