Canada/PEI: East Point Lighthouse

Prince Edward Island is packed with beautiful lighthouses, over two dozen of them. The southeastern tip of the island and most exposed to the Atlantic wind and waves is the East Point Lighthouse. The iconic classically-looking lighthouse was built in 1867 and is still operational. It’s tower is 20 m/64 ft high and has 5 floors. The lighthouse is known as “Canada’s Confederation Lighthouse”. The coastline along the bluff is awesome as well, this is where the strong tides of the St. Lawrence and Northumberland Strait meet.
