Uganda offers traditional African fair with staples including bananas, cassava, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, yams, beans, peas, peanuts, onions, pumpkins, and tomatoes, as well as a wide variety of of fruits such papayas and pineapples. Lake Victoria offers an abundance of fish, although its mostly bland tilapia and the lake is becoming seriously over-fished and depleted.
