Vietnam: Hanoi – Dong Xuan Market
Dong Xuan Market is the largest and oldest in the city, taking out more than a city block in the congested Old Quarter. The large multistory covered building has anything and everything – clothing, textiles, souvenirs – often in huge wholesale amounts. More interesting parts of the market are on the outskirts – live and dry fish (including live turtles), grains and beans, street food. Outside in the open air are fruits and vegetables – a lot of exotic stuff here!
