Nauru: Pinnacles
Nauru is an ancient volcano that eroded into a coral atoll that got subsequently uplifted, forming a coral ring of eroded limestone shelf and pinnacles all around the island. There is one particular area where the pinnacles are especially spectacular, rising up to 20m high, eroded by the pounding sea water and tides into elaborate shapes with arches and windows. An amazing place to explore!
