And one more historical building – the Palace of Justice – in the heart of Manaus dating back to the golden years of the Rubber Boom. It is a museum now and you can explore the courtroom and the architecture and decor both inside and out. Interestingly, the statue of the Greek goddess of Justice on the rooftop has her eyes open and the scales are tipped to one side – so justice is neither blind nor neutral in Brazil?
