Annobon: San Antonio de Pale
San Antonio de Pale is the capital of Annobon, the only town of size in an island with only 5K inhabitants. The location is in the northern side of the island, next to the airport, nice beach with a bay, and flattest terrain. The town has basically a couple streets, a dock, a hospital, a school, a lighthouse, a radio station, and a store, but dates back all the to 1580. Lots of friendly locals go around their daily business of fishing and hanging around. Oh and there is an also a fairly sizable cathedral and a local Annobon branch of the Equatorial Guinea bank, set against the backdrop of a volcanic peak in the distance.
