Equatorial Guinea: Bata – Waterfront Esplanade

Bata is the port city on the shore of mainland Equatorial Guinea and a former capital of the country. The waterfront esplanade is the most pleasant part of the city – running all along the shoreline, fringed with palms and modern buildings (including the newly built future Gran Hotel of Bata). Many monuments of people also dot the esplanade – statues of just random people enjoying the city. Lost of bars and small restaurants serve you cold beers (Portuguese or Spanish – Equatorial Guinea doesn’t make its own). And the place is absolutely safe day and night.
