Antarctica: Flying to Weddel Sea Ice Shelf
Antarctica:
Flying to Weddel Sea Ice Shelf
To get the Weddel Sea Ice Shelf (where the emperor penguin colonies are), it takes another flight, this time a small Cessna, northeast from the Union Glacier. As you circle the Weddel See and the ice shelf, you can spot penguins fro the air.
