Antigua: Fort Barringon & Deep Bay Beach

Fort Barrington is a historic fortification located on the northern coast of Antigua, near the town of Five Islands. It was built in the 18th century by the British to defend the island against potential French invasions. The fort sits on a hilltop and consists of ramparts, gun emplacements, and barracks, all built from local stone. While the fort is pretty cool, the panoramic views from The top are truly mind-blowing and some of the best in the Caribbean! You look down on the Deep Bay Beach, a perfect crescent of yellow sand and azure waters. The other side looks out toward St John in the northeast and the Caribbean see in the west.
