Argentina: Argentinian Rain Lillies

As we drove north toward Formosa across the verdant flat expanse of savanna, we stumbled on a spectacular display of pink lilies along the road. Most likely, these are Argentinian rain lilies, Zephyrantes Robusta or perhaps the closely related Zephyrantes Sarae. In the USA and Europe, these are considered ornamental and bulbs are pricey, but here they grow wild and are endemic.
