Argentina: Formosa
Formosa is the capital of the northernmost province of Argentina with the same name. The city lies in the banks of the Paraguay River with Paraguay being on the other side of the river – multiple ferries connect the countries. The river takes a wide turn right in front of the city, creating many nice viewpoints and panoramas of the Paraguay side. The town is quite pleasant with several waterfront parks, a pretty cathedral, several museums, lots of monuments, and nice avenues with plenty of pedestrian walkways.
